A's Swimming Class

Audrey had a swimming class earlier this summer. We figured it would only do her good to gain some confidence in the water.
Audrey was the first one to really take to the water. However, the was also the most stubborn when it came to doing new things. She loves playing, but, when taken out of her comfort zone, she can get somewhat belligerent.

The great thing about this class was that it just so happened that Audrey's cousin Drew was one of the teachers. When she was being sassy or stubborn, Drew had no hesitations about putting her in her place. I think just about any other teacher would have been wary of doing the same. Go Drew!!

Henry was patient throughout the lessons and had fun running around on the bleachers that overlooked the pool.

Audrey had a fantastic time with 'Kenzie and Drew. By the end of the two weeks, she was (mostly) comfortable with dunking her head and didn't completely freak out when we put her on her back. We still have a long way to go before the Olympics *wink* but the goal was reached: She's no longer afraid of water!
