We finally made it to the Highland Games this year. Ben has wanted to go for years but, for one reason or another, it never happened. As it so happened, I found a cute little kilt-style skirt for Audrey the week before at DI.
We loved watching the dancers. The girls were holding a competition of some sort. They were all doing a sword dance. And, of course, they were dancing to a solo piper. I know Ben and I were in heaven!
Audrey had a great time, as evidenced by her hair growing progressively wilder the longer we were there!
We have dozens and dozens of pictures of the girls' feet as they flew around on the stage.
After we had watched for quite some time, Audrey told us that she wanted to learn how to dance like those girls. We got some phone numbers and a little information. We haven't called yet, but it's still in the back of our minds.

Ooooooooooooooooooo...I'm gonna try and make the highland games next year.
There is a clogging studio around here that I wanted to put Eva in (and me too... :D). It would be cute to put them in a class together!
every year on Father's Day they have an Irish Festival at the Pasadena fair grounds. The Ventura Fair Grounds also has an annual Highland Games.
I love the Irish Festival and also enjoy watching the dancers.
On St Patty's Day there is a parade that goes down Main Street in Ventura. One of the floats has cloggers and another float has other dancers.
Victor would like to go to Ireland for some traditional celebrations in the future.
