A&J's House & Frogs

Wow, can this family sleep! The whole time we were in California (9 days), no one in the family got up before 7am besides Andy since he had to work. Most days, Jennifer would be up and moving around by 8-ish and the kids no earlier than 8:30 or 9am... some days those kids were still in bed at 10! No, they're not lazy.. they just love their sleep... they... LOVE their sleep... alot...

The great thing about Jennifer and Andy's house is that everyone is really relaxed and pretty cool about everything. We did pretty much whatever we wanted the whole trip and no one bugged us about it.. of course.. most of what we wanted to do was a whole lot of nothing.. heehee!

Ben read through most of a Harry Potter book... one of the thick ones.. and I wasted a phenomenal amount of time playing Animal Crossing on the Gamecube. Audrey was just thrilled to be out of the car and playing with other kids. She was fairly easy to please but challenging to keep out of trouble. I don't think that house has been child-proofed.. their youngest is 6 after all.

Audrey discovered the dress -up drawer fairly early on. At one point she was dressed up as a ballerina by her cousins and I wish I had taken a picture.. but I did get these:

Hi Mom! Cute Frog!!

*Grinz!*

Okay, I'm done now.

There is something a little sad about an abandoned frog.

What would that be like to have a dress-up drawer? Although, the best times were when you would make up games that we could pretend we were different species..that was awesome! Sigh...the good old days when I was Donatello, the teenage mutant ninja turtle!

Yeah, Tammy and I take turns on the weekend to sleep in, while the other takes care of the kids. Our kids get up ultra early and want to eat breakfast or watch cartoons. Of course, if you did it on Saturday, you would get the shaft the next day on Sunday, because we have 9 am church.

You know what, I thought the same thing about that poor little abandoned frog. Tossed aside like it was a piece of unwanted trash. Then again, when is a piece of trash wanted? Maybe if you lived in a trailer park.

LOL, that reminds me of a "Family Guy" episode...hehehe...Stewy (the little football-headed kid) is imagining he is King Friday on "Mr. Roger's Neighborhood" and he is making a decree to his people, and then he stops mid stream, and says "What kind of king lives next to the railroad tracks??! What is this? Mexico???!" LOLOLOL! If you missed the connection, the whole unwanted trash business reminded me of our trip to Tiajuana and how the whole placed smelled like a sewer...ick...anywho, unwanted/wanted trash/poop, whatever...

One man's trash is another man's treasure. Go to any yard sale, and even YOU might find some handsome looking trash.
