I found an interesting article this morning. I wholeheartedly agree that there needs to be greater accountability on the part of the media. I always thought that it was the responsibility of the media to report FACT, not hearsay.

I did enjoy this article on a level of amusement as well. You have to appreciate a good, relatively harmless hoax.

LOL! That's awesome! It reminds me of another time when false information was broadcast on TV and a news anchor "retired" after it was proven false... :)
I read about that this morning. The news media is guilty of malpractice most of the time. Yesterday I read an article called "Media Blunders in Covering California's Prop8." The author was being very gentle to say "blunders" when in actuality there were GROSS inaccuracies, distortions, and probably outright lies.
Hmmmmm! It is a good thing that absolutely everything on my blog is true, unvarnished, and completely devoid of humor. When we moved to Albuquerque from Simi Valley, I had to quit as one of the editors of Mythlore. I wrote and published my own obituary in the letters section of the last issue I had a hand in. Everyone thought that I had really died, even though the event was reported by one of my rather nortorious alter-egos, an alter-ego that everyone knew was simply a pen name. I guess they really wanted me dead.
