Long Weekend

I feel like I spent my entire weekend getting beaten up by 18 toddlers holding nerf bats.... sigh..
One of my best friends got baptized on Saturday... then we went to Chili's to celebrate! That was fun but totally stressful. Then, after that, we went over to Nanny's house and had a big party to celebrate everyone's spring birthdays in the family..Audrey got a baby doll for her birthday! She loves it! (She also got all of an hour for a nap that day... and she was acting like it too. She decided to climb out of Nanny's crib, land on the floor and cry until her daddy came to get her!)
On Sunday, we had church, which was busy in and of itself. The kids were mostly well behaved, but the adults left a little to be desired. My best friend and her boyfriend are in the middle of a tense "evaluation period"... I'm glad I'm not dating anymore!
Then, after church, we went straight over to Grandpa's house and had a little party over there. Audrey had her first piece of cake and spent about 20 minutes trying to pick up every crumb of it. She was really excited!
Then, when she got up this morning, she had throw up in her bed.. After her first bottle of milk in the morning, she threw up.. and she only ate about 3/4 of her second bottle. I think she was having trouble digesting the pork roast she tried the night before.
Thank heaven for bedtime!!!!!!!!!
Tomorrow is her first birthday, which basically proves that I can keep a baby alive for at least a year. (Not counting the pregnancy)

We watched I Am Legend on our DVR tonight.. It was pretty good, but I think I knew too much about it before watching it, so there really weren't any surprises. But, all in all, it was a fun movie and I'm glad I watched it before the sun went down. I think I would have been much more creeped out otherwise!

My Baby Likes Rammstein

As I'm typing this, I'm listening to Rammstein's "Amerika"... my daughter, Audrey, who is almost a year old, is rocking back and forth on her bottom... I thought I was going to die laughing! She's also trying to eat my cell phone.. maybe I should get that back from her.
Audrey's 1st birthday is next Tuesday. I'm totally excited for her to turn one.. that means that I've been at least a decent parent for the past year... :P She'll have her year-old doctor appointment and shots on that day. Poor baby.. shots are no fun! We will most likely have a party for her the Saturday after her birthday.
Ben is getting ready for finals at school.. this is the most stressful time of the semester. He already doesn't sleep much, so I dont know when he'll get time for the extra studying he needs to do. I'm concerned about his Anatomy II class.. the teacher is really hard and it's nearly impossible to get a good grade in his class. I hope the Nursing School considers that when he petitions this fall. (sigh)
As for me... I have writers block in a really bad way... maybe I should stop spending so much time playing games and actually sit down and stare at my word program until I actually write something. I should probably quit the games all together.. my house is a disaster and I'm turning into a Computer Potato! :\
Oh my! The snake just noticed Audrey and is staring at her.. I think she can see him too... there is something slightly disturbing about that!

It's sucking the life out of me!!!

Okay, so I've been playing an online multiplayer game called Mabinogi for about 2 weeks or so. It's sortof like a nicer version of Diablo 2 (you get to battle monsters and work on quests) and it's also like Harvest Moon or other life games (you can make clothes, farm, or whatever!). I think it's so great! I spend about 4 or 5 hours on it every day! I suppose it's better than watching Dora with my daughter!
I love this game! My character is an 11 year old warrior who wields a claymore! I'm so cute! So far, the other people in the game seem nice and helpful. You'll get your bad apples once in a while, but overall, this game rocks!
Best of all it's (mostly) free! There are some premium services that you can buy, but i'm not ready to go there yet! But, I may not be far off, really! :)

So, i've never had a blog before.. this is all new to me! I thought i'd give it a try since my website keeps "exceeding data transfer" limits... sigh... you'd think technology would be better these days... I guess that's what I get for going cheap!
