At dinner last night, Ben commented on the lack of any kind of snow that stuck to the ground. Mom asked if he was disappointed. "Yeah," Ben replied somewhat mournfully. Later that evening I commented that for someone who talks about hating the cold so much, he sure was anxious for snow. Essentially, he said he liked having something to complain about.
Ben was checking some of the Albuquerque weather this morning and found that it had snowed in our old neighborhood. "Kinda ironic." was his comment. Here we were in Utah; cold, snowy, dark Utah and sunny New Mexico got a layer of snow before we did.
Perhaps it's suffering the cold weather without the joy and beauty of snow that disappoints him...

I think that I'm bummed because I haven't had to have long pants AND shoes on at the same time this early in the season. It's throwing me off...
Well, we had our second wind storm of the season. The first one knocked our avocados, guavas, apples and plums to the ground along with many of the blossoms from the orange and tangerine trees.
I'm hoping that we didn't lose our pompgranites last night with all the wind.
It was a cold wind and we shut the windows for the first time and set the heater for 72. I think I only heard the heater go on once last night.
This morning it was freezing cold and windy. I had to wear a jacket for my morning walk at work. BURRR!!!!
Try wearing a skirt out in this weather. Eeya...It's sad when your only choice is baggy overalls or a short skirt.
Isn't it supposed to warm up the next few days?? I am hoping Halloween will be tolerable. :P
It's coming . . .
