Beautiful Weather

The weather has been absolutely gorgeous this week. We've been trying to take advantage of it, so we've been out every afternoon the last three days. Today we went to a park where Audrey went down the slide all by herself, several times, and nearly gave me a heart attack when she tried climbing those metal ladders up the side.
Yesterday, we took a short walk in the foothills to go see Karli's grave site. A bit morbid, I know, but I hadn't been to it since Ben buried her. The effort of the short walk (mostly uphill on the way to it) left me quite sore.
Monday was the best day, so far, as we went and played mini golf with Audrey for the first time. I WON! .... AGAINST A GOLFER!! ........ WOW!!! Anyway.. I don't know what the final score was between Ben and myself, but Audrey got the best score of us all with a .... 4... total. She gave up after the first hole. I guess she was the real winner there. She did enjoy following us around with her little golf club and pink ball.

We had to keep calling her back from chasing the balls we had been putting around.

She was more interested in the course than the game.

Yay! I got the ball in the hole. No, I didn't putt it in... I dropped it in.

No, I'm not crying. I'm completely over golf and am now playing Peek-a-boo.

After our golf game, we went inside and indulged in foolhardy parental spoiling.

This was the last one she stayed still on. She figured out pretty quickly that they're all pretty much the same and lost interest. She also seemed to figure out pretty early on that they weren't that much fun because they didn't GO anywhere.

All in all, fun afternoon! I hope the weather holds. We're going to the zoo on Friday and hopefully the loveliness doesn't turn.
